I’m sure this film was made with a lot of care and love, but what was missing most, in my opinion, was the breathing. Opera singers learn to control their breathing in order to breathe ours. I agree with the other less favorable reviews that the opening scene was indeed a bad example of a replay, especially since I didn’t see Miss Jolie breathing! Of course, La Callas lived an impressive life, but for me, it seemed that too much attention was paid to the visuals in this film. This is a film that I put off watching until the very end, and I regret it.
